Jowanna Griffin (Shipman)
Comments
I went to work at First State Bank of Crane in 1964. I retired after thirty two years of service. It was a good career for me and my family. During my employment I worked with two classmates, Gary Edmiston and Freddy Ward. That was also a good experience.
In 1965 I married Tommy Griffin (CHS class of 1955) and we combined our families. We have four daughters, nine grandchildren and a red-headed blue eyed great grandson.
After retirement in 1996, we were fortunate to be able to spend the summer months in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and the springs and falls at Lake Proctor in central Texas. After having several mortocycles, we purchased a two wheeled convertible, better known as a 1800 Honda Goldwing. That has proven to be a great adventure. Most of our vacations since have been taken on the cycle. Trips to Black Hills South Dakota, Rocky Mountain National Park, Monument Valley Utah and Newport, Oregon are included.
Looking forward to the reunion.
