After high school, Sammy and I attended and were graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock. In 1961 we were married and began teaching school in Odessa. Sammy taught math at Bowie, and I taught business at Permian. Five years raced by and along came our first son, Shawn. About this time, we got the bright idea that we wanted to stop teaching and begin ranching. In November of 1968 we moved to the Glass-Everitt Ranch. Our second son, Kyle was born in 1970 and we are still ranching.

The coyotes and bobcats have put us out of the sheep and goat business; so it is now cattle and horses. We keep very, bery busy ---tending and feeding at various spots from Big Lake to Andrews.

Shawn and Kellie live on a ranch in Midlan Co. and have 5 children. Kyle and Serena live in Andrews and have 3 children. We attend church i Midland and have a very busy life. It does not look as if retirement is an option.
