Thanks to Charlotte for including me in the reunion. Sorry I can't be there.
Jim and I will be married 50 years this December. We have two daughters and one granddaughter (Avalon was adopted from China in 2005). She has been a total delight from the moment I saw her adoption photo. Jim retired from the US Postal Inspection Service in 1990. We moved 9 times in 25 years ... lived from California to D.C. and Colorado to Montana .Since Jim traveled constantly I chose to be a stay-at-home mom. After retirement we moved to Texas to be near our girls, first trying San Antonio, then Bulverde, then Clifton, and now Glen Rose ... just keep getting closer and closer to Dallas where both girls live! We are now an hour from Avalon so I am a happy camper!
While we were in Lenexa, Kansas, I began an intriguing musical journey. Songs came in my dreams. I don't sing or read music so getting someone to help me was interesting indeed! The results were well worth the trauma ... two churches used my music!
A year later in San Antonio I woke up one night seeing the first pages of a novel ... Amanda ... so far unfinished and unpublished.
Another novel, Isabel, began as I listened to a Gregorian chant. A few months later I saw my brother, Bob, in Brady and had a "visitation" from an old Indian man's spirit. That was the start of a self published book called "Shouts Down Trees." ("Shouts" came as poetry and has "automatic" drawings). I have recently been "nagged from beyond" to get off the couch and finish the first two manuscripts and the follow up to Shouts Down Trees. You don't know the power of nagging until it comes from one of your guides ... in this case it is Henrietta! Makes life interesting.
Hope the reunion is wonderful. Wish I could see all of you.
