After graduation, I worked in Odessa at a finance company until I married in November 1959. We then moved to Denver City, where I remembered how we as teens sat with the snow coming down to watch our football team play. My husband and I moved a lot as he worked for Texaco for 30 years before retiring. I enjoyed it as we saw a lot of different places. My favorite place to live was Cortez, Colo. My two girls ice-skated and snow skied. I was a stay-at-home mom until they were in school. My oldest daughter is head of a high school math department and the youngest is a C.P.A., but is currently a stay-at-home mom. They both live about 45 minutes from us. We have 5 wonderful grandchildren, ages 4-21. I retired from banking, my last position being in downtown Houston. I did accounting for 7 charter banks in the Treasury & Securities department. I car-pooled with my husband. About 4 years ago, we moved to a subdivision about 6 miles from Magnolia, Texas with large lots. It feels like we are in the country and we really enjoy it. We enjoy retirement and stay busy . My husband plays and sings with a group of old folks, like us, for nursing homes and retirement homes and I plays cards with the wives. I bowl each week. (not good, but have fun). I also quilt and love to decorate our home. Sorry, I won't be attending the reunion but would love to hear from friends at loisnrc@juno.com.
